3 options to use custom cloud

There are three ways of sending data to your cloud.

  1. The easiest way to send data to your own cloud server is to use a custom cloud URL in the task action: "Send event to cloud" as seen here.
On this option you will be still connected to our backend since you haven't made any change in the cloud.jsn file, although no data will be send to our cloud. This option do not disables the possibility to use the wireless connectivity ("send to device" button) between Thingsee Creator and your device. Thus, you will be able to update a purpose or send a new one without needing to connect it with a USB cable to the PC.

  2. You can fully rewrite the ThingseeCloud connector to send all events to your own server by overwriting the API-url parameter in the "cloud.jsn" file on your Thingsee (attach Thingsee to you PC by using a USB cable, and you'll find cloud.jsn in the root of the drive).
In this option you will lose all the connectivity to Thingsee Creator & Cloud. Thus, in order to update or send a new purpose to Thingsee One you'll need to do it with the USB cable.

  3. If that is not enough - if you need a fully custom connector that implements the protocol and the authentication of your choise, you take a peak at our SDK. In /apps/tsengine/ts-connector/ you can find the implementation of the default connector. The file conn_comm.c gives the basics to implement your own HTTP-based connector.
In this option you will lose all the connectivity to Thingsee Creator & Cloud. Thus, in order to update or send a new purpose to Thingsee One you'll need to do it with the USB cable.
